Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your MadFrog VPN account (app ID com.madfrog.vpn), what is erased, and what we keep.

From inside the app

The fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.

You are asked to confirm once. There is no undo, and no refund for days remaining on a subscription.

Without the app

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot open it, email [email protected] from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account.

If the account has no email — an anonymous account is tied to the device, not an address — include the account number instead. It is shown in the app under Аккаунт / Account as Номер для поддержки, and it also appears in any support conversation you have had with us.

We complete these requests within 30 days, and normally within one business day. We may ask one question to confirm the request came from the account holder; we will never ask for your password, because there isn't one.

What is deleted

What we keep, and why

One record survives deletion: the purchase identifier issued by the app store (Apple's original transaction ID). It identifies a payment, not a person — it carries no name, email or device — and it is retained so that store-issued refunds and billing notifications can still be reconciled after the account is gone. Financial records are also subject to statutory retention periods.

Aggregate statistics that contain no personal identifiers (for example "how many tunnels were active in a given hour") may be retained for capacity planning.

Subscriptions are separate

Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple. Cancel it in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or it will keep renewing. Subscriptions bought through our web checkout are not recurring — there is nothing to cancel.

Starting again

Nothing stops you from installing the app again later; it will create a new account. It will not be the old one, and the old subscription does not come back.
